MANILA — April 2025 — With the resonant theme “Tuklas: Paglayag sa Agos ng Kalayaan”, this year’s PUP Pride 2025 charted a bold course toward equality, identity, and liberation. The celebration kicked off in the final week of March with a symbolic Flag Hanging Ceremony held on March 24, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the PUP Main Gate, signaling the start of a week filled with unity, reflection, and resistance.
Co-organized by the PUP Gender and Development Office, in partnership with AWS Cloud Club PUP and the Philippine Pastafarian Church, the event brought together students, faculty, and allies in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community. The colorful flag rising served as a powerful reminder that Pride is more than festivity—it is a commitment to justice and human dignity.
Throughout the celebration, participants engaged in performances, educational forums, and community activities aimed at uplifting marginalized voices and exploring the currents of identity and self-discovery.
“Pride is a journey, not just a destination,” organizers said. “From the bottom of our rainbow-colored hearts, maraming salamat. Sama-sama nating tinatahak ang agos ng kalayaan.”
Plans are already in motion for an even more inclusive PUP Pride in 2026.
